Napalm Death downstairs at The Mermaid pub. This line up of Justin Broadrick (guitar & vocals – 16 years old), Nicholas Bullen (bass & vocals – 17 years old) and Mick Harris (drums – 18 years old) is seen as the line up that developed the Grindcore sound.

Mick Harris coined the term ‘Grindcore’ as well as the term ‘blast beat’ to describe his lightning speed drumming style.
