After returning to America, Lars stayed in touch with Brian Tatler via letter. On this page he mentions his band Metallica who, at the time were about to release a single track on a compilation album. Metallica recorded a version of the Diamond Head song Am I Evil for the b-side of their 1984 twelve-inch single ‘Creeping Death’. The song that Brian Tatler had written by trying to ‘out-heavy’ Tony Iommi had directly inspired another band.
