THE ARCHIVE: Class War newspaper (October 1985)

Class War covered the 1985 Handsworth disturbances in this edition of the newspaper entitled ‘Handsworth Rising’.

The anarchist newspaper has been unique in its far reach and notoriety and has remained an important part of the anti-capitalist movement in the UK. Class War’s relationship to anarcho-punk can be found not only in the political discourse, but also within the artwork and aesthetic of the publication.

The Class War association disbanded in May 2011.
