The Plaza at Old Hill had a revolving stage. As did another Regan circuit venue, the Adelphi Ballroom in West Bromwich. As one band arrived from an earlier show, the band on stage would still be playing. The next act would set up their gear backstage and hope that the band about to finish would remember to unplug all their kit before the stage rotated.

Many musicians of the time remember the Regan circuit well. The volume of paid work that Mary and Joe’s chain of venues provided for young bands was very welcome.
