THE ARCHIVE: Godflesh photographs & t-shirt (circa 1988)

When guitarist Justin Broadrick left Napalm Death in 1986, he went on to create Godflesh, pioneers of Industrial Metal. The bands influential back catalogue conjured images of concrete tower blocks, cold machinery and bleak landscapes. The duo of Broadrick and Benny Green used a drum machine rather than live percussion and slowed down the bpm (beats per minute) considerably from the frantic Napalm Death days.
