Metal gods Judas Priest have given their support to Home of Metal in the lead up to our season of all things Heavy Metal this summer.

“Judas Priest have always been proud to fly the flag for British Heavy Metal on our tours around the world.

We make a point of letting everyone know that we are from the Black Country  and so for us to be included in the prestigious Home of Metal event is another solid way of showing the strong connection we share with Birmingham and local fellow metal musicians throughout the region.

There has and will be a tremendous interest and importance surrounding the  innovative music coming from our part of the UK that has continued to inspire and influence countless musicians which reinforces Judas Priest’s contribution in the many diverse styles of Heavy Metal

A big thank you to the Home of Heavy Metal and of course the fans who are the ones that make all this possible.”

Judas Priest will feature in the Home of Metal exhibition at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, celebrating 40 years of Heavy Metal and its unique birthplace.

Hell Bent for Leather: Judas Priest and the Heavy Metal look will focus on the stage costumes and visual impact of the band.

As well as these exhibitions, Judas Priest will be performing live at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Thursday 21st July as part of their world tour ‘Epitaph Tour 2011’.
