Tuesday 9th

DIY Guitar workshops with Juneau Projects | Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery | 11am – 4pm | £1.50 plus admission
Acclaimed local artists, Ben and Phil aka Juneau Projects, will work with visitors to create electronic instruments from cardboard.  Use cardboard to build your own Telecaster or Flying V, drumkit, keyboard or invent your own instrument.  Then add some simple electronics to trigger sound sample, take to the stage and play!

Use Home of Metal graphics or make up your own images to create a Home of Metal badge.

Wednesday 10th

Rock Stars! Club | Walsall Leather Museum | 10.30am – 12.30pm (5-7’s) / 1.30pm-3.30pm (8-12’s) | £1.50
Calling all mini rock star wannabes!  Walsall Leather Museum’s summer Wednesday Club will be hosting a whole host of themed workshops inspired by the Home of Metal festival.  Each week there will be an opportunity to work with artists to create your own rock-inspired memorabilia including your own guitar or album cover.

Thursday 11th

Make a Home of Metal T-Shirt | Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery | 11am-4pm | £1.50 per person (plus admission)
Pay tribute to your favourite metal band and take inspiration from the art work in the exhibition to make your own Home of Metal t-shirt.

Guitar School | Wednesbury Museum | 10am | £3.50
