Geezer Butler has been announced as this year’s ‘Metal Guru’ at the 2010 Marshall Classic Rock Roll of Honour awards. The show was presented by Alice Cooper and Tony Iommi took to the stage to hand the award to the Black Sabbath bass player and lyricist.

Other awards included the Outstanding Contribution award to John Paul Jones, the Childline Rock Awards went to Glenn Hughes and a tribute was paid to Ronnie James Dio.
